What display will your class share?

Finding an alternative audience
You can extend this unit by asking the class if they would like to make the display for someone other than themselves. There are several immediate possibilities.
- Their parents
- The school governors
- Another class in the school

This would provide the opportunity for the class to ask any of these groups what they would like to know about a certain theme. This could be achieved by writing a letter that suggests possible sets of information to which the group could respond but also leaving an option to request information not listed. The response might provide both reason and motivation to find out more about an area of study.
The new audience can also provide useful feedback on the effectiveness of the display. They can praise achievements but also suggest improvements. This would add extra rigour to the evaluation and review sessions.
