For schools - What is a Science & Engineering Ambassador?
The Science & Engineering Ambassadors Programme is targeted at schools across the UK, with the long-term aim of raising the profile of the science and engineering profession among young people.
The programme can increase the capability of young people in both science and technology and raise their awareness of the importance of science and engineering to the economy and society.
7747 engineers and technicians are currently involved in the voluntary programme, giving their time in 2000 secondary and 850 primary schools.
