Using Adults other than teachers in the classroom

Introduction

There are many opportunities for visits from adults in the local community. Each primary school will have its own particular richness of experience among parents, grandparents, local businesses and organisations. Once you start asking, you may be surprised at how many adults are delighted to give up an hour of their time to come in and talk to a class or even work with a class.
