Children will design and make a framed clay mosaic which can be displayed at school before being taken home to be displayed there. If it is designed as a gift for someone, the design of the mosaic may reflect the interests of that person.

Baking bread (KS2 Food)
The children's task is to make bread rolls. It is necessary to set the context for the activity. This may be to agree a theme, as a class or group, such as "to make bread rolls for a children's party" or to base their designs on the characters in book that the class has read.
