Putting on a special event
Often the focus of your visit will be a special 'one- off' event as in the case of the K'NEX Challenge or a 'Build a buggy' event. If at all possible it is important that these are developed as part of the curriculum experience of the children with some lesson time devoted to preparation before the event and some lesson time devoted to follow up. 
In this way the children are more likely to be successful in the event and the learning they achieve can be consolidated.
