What would the scissors say on screen?

Using PowerPoint® software
Some teachers have found that rather than using a range of multimedia software it is more straightforward to concentrate on using PowerPoint. This software has been designed for making presentations that feature text and images and can be extended to include short sound and video clips and links to the Internet.

It is very easy to learn and can be used as a learning aid. Its limitation is that it is a linear sequence and must be viewed as such. It is not possible to produce an introductory page which has, say, a list of tools and materials from which the user can choose the ones that he or she wants to find out about and then jump to information about that particular tool.
However if this is your first attempt at developing a multi-media sequence then this is not important. There is lots to learn about good screen design and PowerPoint™ provides an effective way to do this.
